Pastor Man Kush recently spoke with Mic Cheque podcast, revealing that there was a time when the Kenyan government faced a coin shortage because to him.
He had 12 bags, each weighing 90 kilograms, filled with coins he had collected from crusades across the country, totaling over KSh 14 million.
"I had 12 bags, each weighing 90 kilograms, filled with coins in my house—the equivalent of 90 kilograms of potatoes. That’s how much I had collected. So, when I read the notice, I called the bank to come and count the coins to return them to circulation." This collection totaled an astonishing Sh13-14 million."
At his own church, he typically collects over Sh200,000 every Sunday. Yet, his generosity is clear as he often redistributes this collection to those in need.
“Sometimes I give it all away because there are so many people in need. Why should I go home with money while someone else is going to sleep hungry?” he explained.
Man Kush describes his path as "a calling," rather than a career he studied for.
One of his greatest passions is building a strong community of faithful followers, and he continues to expand the number of churches under his leadership.
