Tanzanian singer Rajab Abdul Kahali, also known by his stage name Harmonize, recently attended a church service and was recorded kneeling at the altar.

The pastor welcomed the artist and even gave him a chance to speak to the congregation.

Harmonize said he felt good being in the presence of God, adding that the sermon was great and he felt blessed.

"There are a lot of places I would have been at this moment, but I chose to be here where the voice of God is being heard. It is a blessing. I am a very big fan of God,” said Harmonize.

The video however attracted criticism from someone people who felt that the musician was wrong for going to church yet he is a Muslim.

Some people went ahead to claim that the musician was paid to attend the church service.

In response, Harmonize said he is still a Muslim and he went to church to learn more. He added that he will always feel free to attend churches that teach people how to be of Good character.

"It is so funny that some people think I was paid to be there. There is no pastor who can pay me or is able to buy my faith; I am past that. I am proudly Muslim and will forever go to church, especially those that teach how to know God more.”
