Ezekiel Mutua And Nasra Yusuff have  Criticized the Viral Mapangale Dance Challenge.

In a post on social media, Ezekiel Mutua said that content creators should focus on inspiring hope and bot promoting criminal behaviour.

"I am liasing with the relevant authorities, particularly the Ministry of Interior to ensure that such content does not jeopardise national security. In the meantime, we advise content creators to use their creativity to inspire hope and not to promote or glorify criminal behaviour."

Nasra Yusuf on the other hand shared that at a time when the nation is dealing with increased violence reports, a dance challenge with pangas should not be promoted.

The style involves two dancers dancing while facing each other - as they move and wiggle, they also lower themselves rhythmically, and, while using their arms, they mimic the acts of someone cutting up their dance partner with a panga.

Some content creators have now even gone a step further and are using an actual panga to demonstrate their dance styles.

Those against the dance style have pointed out the proliferation of femicide cases across the country, with many expressing their unease at enjoying a dance which reminds them of violence and brutality.

Some other Kenyans have, however, found no problem with the dance style. Those in support of the 'Mapangale' dance have defended it saying that the Kenyan youth are merely a creative bunch.
