Irene Nekesa, a former house help at Diana Marua's house, previously stated that she earned KSh 100,000 each month.

However, after leaving Diana’s home, she asked Kenyans for assistance, saying she didn’t have any furniture.

Irene said that people might have sensed that she is not living well and she decided to open up incase there's someone out there who wants to help.

She revealed that she was initially sleeping on the floor but a kind lady gave her a used mattress.

"My house does not have anything. It does not have a chair or a bed. The mattress I was given by someone, it is a small one and I had slept on the floor for three days. I can plead with furniture people to help me out. If we can work together, I'll help you to market them."

This raised questions about her reported salary while working for the Bahati family. In an interview with Commentator 254, Irene decided not to disclose her earnings from Diana’s house, saying it was a private issue between her and her ex-employer.

Previously, Irene said she had been working with Diana Marua for close to seven years and they parted ways on good terms.
