Kenyan musician Nameless has responded to critics who are pressuring him to father a son in the name of protecting his legacy.

This comes days after the musician welcomed his third daughter with his wife Wahu Kagwi.

In response, the musician said he is a happy girl dad and his legacy will be bringing up daughters who are humble and compassionate.

"Actually I really want my legacy to be a father of three beautiful girls filled with wisdom humility and compassion and who will live a responsible life that creates peace and joy for themselves and for others around them. That is the vision I am working towards."

He further asked his fans to evolve from outdated traditions and to identify the parts of our culture that are unprogressive.

"Saa zingine tunjiangusha na traditions that are outdated. I understand that we have been taught to follow our culture or tradition without question, but the truth is we are supposed to use our wisdom to identify the parts of our culture that are unfair or unprogressive and let them go, as we adopt more progressive, fair and better ways of thinking and living ... Cultural evolution is where my leadership flourishes."
