Former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko is displeased with the current governor Johnson Sakaja over his order on closing night clubs in residential areas.
Speaking today, Mike Sonko said Nairobians and business owners are suffering in the hands of Johnson Sakaja since he closed their sources of income, labelling the ban as childish.
"People have invested in their businesses and you cannot just wake up one day and decide to shut clubs down. Who do you think you are? Behave! That is very childish.”
Mike Sonko added that Sakaja has refused to cooperate with the MCAs to lift the order on closure of night clubs.
Sonko questioned Sakaja for making hasty decisions and not opening room for negotiations between bar owners and the county government on the way forward.
"MCAs wamelift ban alafu wewe unasema it is still there, wacha mchezo bana. Ulipewa kiti na wananchi wacha kuwadharau, allow negotiations."
The members of county assembly had suggested a meeting between the club owners and the county government, to come up with solutions on how to run business without affecting residents.
