Kenyan rapper Trio Mio has thrown shade at Kiss FM radio presenters Chito Ndhlovu and Cyd Wambui in his new freestyle.

In the freestyle Trio Mio starts the verse by sampling an on-air conversation between the two radio hosts. He continues to say does not lose sleep thinking about the KCSE exam results or what the results would mean for his music career.

The rapper also highlights the disconnect between social media and real life, saying that online chatter does not affect the quality of his life and is unbothered by what people think about him. He says that he cannot allow pressure from people get to him since if they got As in KCSE they would be civil engineers at the moment.

In the freestyle Trio Mio also addresses the situation where many youths Excell in their studies but continue suffering since the system cannot offer them jobs.

The diss track comes after Chito Ndhlovu and Cyd Wambui urged the rapper to put effort into his music, because even if he passed in the soon-to-be-released KCSE results and failed in his music, he would be forgotten by his fans.

“I am waiting for his music post-KCSE. Already he has released one song and guys are saying that the pressure of KCSE was what was making him release good music “This year is his make-or-break point…if he passes this year and doesn’t put out like a major hit, imagine he’ll be forgotten," They said.

After the diss track, Chito Ndhlovu shared a tweet saying he was proud his conversation inspired the freestyle.

“Trio has done a dope freestyle one could say possibly inspired by a conversation Cyd Wambui and I had most recently. We are always happy to be conversation shapers and starters, especially for the Kenyan music/entertainment scene. Looking forward to that Trio 2023 major hit!”

Kenyans on social media were however not pleased by his statement where many claimed he bullied Trio Mio and he is now acting like a hero.
