The university of Eldoret has banned the wearing of inappropriate clothes by the students.
In a memo shared by the Dean of Students Dr Lelei K. kiboiy, all students are expected to wear simple, decent, modest and appropriate attire that facilitates an atmosphere conducive for studies.
Female students are banned from wearing Miniskirts, skin tight trousers, rugged jeans, crop tops, low cut dresses, micro shorts, transparent dresses or sleeveless blouses.
Male students are banned from wearing sagging trousers, clothes revealing chest and ragged trousers.
Students are expected to wear gender compliant attire which reflects their personal details as per the admission records.
Students who will violate the dress code will face disciplinary actions.
The dress code memo comes months after Methodist University banned clothes deemed inappropriate for students.
Female students were banned from wearing crop tops (tumbo cuts), see through clothes, tight trousers and mini skirts.
Male students were banned from dreadlocks, plaiting hair, wearing vests that expose their chests and caps during class or when visiting any of the institution's administrative offices, wearing earrings and walking around in untucked shirts.
All students were banned From wearing trendy casual clothes while on school grounds.
