Jose Chameleon's Wife Daniella Atim has criticized the musician after an incident where he was caught whipping a Boda Boda Rider who scratched his range Rover.
a video of Chameleone beating up a boda rider went viral. According to reports, the singer allegedly beat the rider after the man scratched his Range Rover on the way home in Sseguku.
Daniella Atim shared that violence should not be tolerated no matter what and pushed for justice for the rider.
” Zero tolerance for violence .#justiceforbodavictim#” she said.
In another update, Daniella said it is sad that people wish the victim recovery yet the abuser goes unpunished.
"Tragic how people watch abusers wreck a person's life and will pray for the survivor's healing but not hold the abuser accountable. There's peace in knowing someone is responsible for hurting others. It's not vengeance. It's necessary, so they lose access to other people's innocence."
Jose Chameleon shared that the incident was actually self defense adding that he was protecting himself from the rider who was approaching him.
"On the morning of Thursday 17th November, an uncomfortable incident involving a Boda Boda rider and Jose Chameleon escalated as Chameleone was driving back to his home in Seguku when a reckless rider rammed into his Range Rover leaving the left side of it scratched. Chameleon could have ignored, the incident if not for the verbal Insults and threats of physical assault that came from the rider. The seen incident was in self-defense as the charged Boda boda rider tried to approach."
He however apologized for the way he handled the situation especially since he is a public figure and people look up to him. He promised to avoid such situations in the future.
"The incident is regrettable and could have been avoided. Similar incidents will be handled better going forward."
Alot of people have criticized the act and a number of people have denounced the singer for his immoral behavior.
