Ugandan musician Jose Chameleon has shared his thoughts after an incident where he beat up a Bodaboda rider in a viral video.

Speaking to the media Yesterday ahead of his concert, the musician said he respects Bodaboda riders however there are bad people in every business.

"We need to change a few things in the boda industry."

SafeBoda, a Ugandan boda riders platform is among the sponsors for his show and he thanked them for the support and the services they are providing in the country.

"I thank SafeBoda for sponsoring the event... for respecting your job."

The musician also said he regrets how he handled the situation adding that they are both human beings prone to mistakes.

"I am not an angel, and the Boda man is also not an angel."

In the viral video, Jose Chameleon was seen beating up a Bodaboda rider four times with a very long stick.

The musician claimed that the rider scratched his range Rover near his house in Seguku. In the video, someone was heard saying that the rider didn't hit the car.

The video attracted alot of attention while many condemned him for handling the situation with violence.

Among the people who criticized his behavior is his wife Daniella Atom who said that Chameleon should be punished and the rider who is a victim should get justice.

Previously, the musician had shared a statement claiming he was defending himself from the riders who were approaching him.
