Tumiso Mathenge, the daughter of Kenyan musicians Nameless and Wahu Kagwi has expressed her displeasure at people trolling her mother on social media.
Sharing on social media, Tumi said it is sad that people are trolling her mother for gaining weight without even considering she just had a baby.
"I just wanted to address the people body shaming Wahu Kagwi on her recent post. I find it really sad that it is women who are talking about her body. Honestly I expected better from us and she literally just had a baby. You guys need to grow up for real."
Wahu Kagwi had shared a post on social media during a meeting during a meeting with Talanta Hela Creative Technical Committee.
"Earlier today the Creatives and Sports technical teams held our 1st joint committee meeting together with the CS. All I can say is that I'm excited about the future! Grateful for the opportunity to serve 🙏🏾🇰🇪."
Keyboard warriors however decided to ignore the post on the great opportunity the mother of three has landed and decided to focus on her body.
Other fans also expressed how sad it is for people to ignore her win and instead focus on body shaming her.
"Yaani wahu is here celebrating a win but most of the comments are body shaming and from women mostly. Please feel shame. Congratulations on your success mama❤️❤️."
"She looks like a beautiful new mom. When will women start building each other instead of breaking each other!"
"Women make me so tayad!!! We love you Wahu. You are too high up there to be brought down. They can't even reach you."
"Let us women not try to pull other women down. Nobody deserves to explain whether they have grown bigger or smaller. Everybody is beautiful the way they are. Bodyshaming should be in the past. It's just not right. let's mind even her kids and her entire family. Bravo mama! On your new appointment. Keep going."
Wahu Kagwi, Azziad Nasenya, Churchill, Carol Radul, Kate Actress and Dennis Itumbi are among Kenyan celebrities who recently landed new jobs under the ministry of youth affairs, sports and arts.
