Sautisol lead singer Bien Aime Barasa has shared his view on LGBTQ following recent ruling by the supreme court.

Speaking in an interview with TV 47 via video link from London, Bien said he supports the Lesbians, Gays Bisexuals, Transgender and Queer community since everyone should be able to do whatever makes them happy.

"Mi nasupport LGBTQ sana. Mi nasupport watu kufanya kenye wanataka expression yao. Hio Kenya shida zetu ni njaa, shida zetu ni economic empowerment, shida zetu ni proper education in our schools… There are so many problems that come before this LGBTQ Issue."

The musician said Kenyans are suffering yet the government has decided to focus on what people do behind closed doors.

I feel like the government is using this to hoodwink you guys and to remove your attention from the things that actually matter. LGBTQ si shida kubwa kuliko corruption kwa hio country so please focus on the things that are important hio LGBTQ si shida ya mtu kenye mtu anafanya kwa bedroom."

Bien pointed out that all Kenyans have major issues that are affecting them  yet people are focusing on the wrong things adding that  even if the LGBTQ community is no longer in Kenya, the suffering from corruption and hunger will still be there.

"Shida ambayo inatukumba sisi wote na inatuinvolve sisi wote ni corruption, ni proper education in our schools. What is the education system teaching our children? Kuna njaa in northern Kenya, why are we still experiencing Kenyans who are dying of hunger. Unataka kuniambia LGBTQ community ikiisha njaa itapotea? corruption itapotea? Kuna so many things that are going wrong but we are focusing n the wrong things."

Bien urged Kenyans to channel the energy they are using in discussing LGBTQ to other necessary issues such as proper healthcare, education and even fighting corruption.
