Popular Kikuyu musician Ben Githae has denied being in a group that is aimed at contributing money to help DJ Fatxo with Legal Expenses.

Reports had emerged that Musicians had formed a WhatsApp group to raise money for the Mugithi singer DJ Fatxo to pay for lawyers after 23 year old interior designer Jeff Mwathi died in his house.

"We are not in any group. Those are just propaganda, but we are asking for justice, and that should be accompanied by the truth," Ben Githae told Nairobi News.

Githae clarified that most of the artists he had spoken to about the allegations have denied being part of any group.

Githae also urged the public to give the responsible institutions handling the case time to work.

Ben Githae also spoke about the criticism they get from fans when things go wrong, and the unity they have among themselves as artists.

"We get sick, we cry, we have our ups and downs, and we also have sex. Fans lift you up, but once they see you have made it and gotten money through them, they start fighting you. If they hear that you have neglected your children, they troll you. You cannot understand our fans. We  support each other, and if one artist falls sick, the others will come and take care of their children."

The music industry is currently facing backlash due to the deaths that have occurred under Unclear Circumstances.

Kikuyu Gospel Musician Mirugi Dishon is also on the spot after his exgirlfriend a pastor identified as  Elizabeth Wanjiru died in his house.
