The group began years ago when Joefes met iPhoolish at a high school 'funkie' and they immediately sparked a friendship that would see them afterward enroll at the same university. In 2018, Joefes released his first song.

In the process of reaching out to different artistes trying to find a fortune, Fathermoh linked up with Joefes in 2019 and joined Mbuzi Gang.

Their songs Wagithomo and ShamraShamra featuring Mejja helped put the group in the spotlight.

The Shamrashamra hitmakers have been raising eyebrows especially with what transpired last year after they were involved in an accident. Fans were surprised after the group turned on each other and started blame game after their car was involved in the accident.

Joefess posted on his Instagram stories cursing Fathermoh saying he was to blame for ruining their car which was barely four months old.

Many bands no longer make music together and have returned to their separate careers. Mbuzi Gang, was one of the few remaining groups.
