The video attracted alot of attention from social media users and some felt that it was wrong to show off in that manner while most Kenyans are struggling due to the tough economic situation.

Among them was city politician Alinur Mohamed who called out KRG for flaunting cash yet people are starting and affording basic needs has become a problem.

"This is just not okay. People are starving. One meal a day is a miracle to some. Some have not paid rent as low as 4k for months and risk getting kicked out with kids. God please help us, it's only you who can."

"Kwanini watu wanakasirikia success yangu? Niko na pesa na sio tafadhali… Na pesa zangu sio za kupea watu bure coz naendelea kuchanga ndio nifikie akina Elon Musk and the other dollar billionaires," he said.

While KRG said he inherited most of his wealth from his grandparents, he revealed that businesses play a big part in his rise.
