Kenyan content creator and social media influencer Brian Chira Wambui has apologized to all those he has offended and the insults he has hauled at innocent people on social Media.

Speaking in an interview with Kiss FM, Chira said he let the fame he has been receiving get into his head which influenced his behavior leading to toxicity on social media.

Chira also said he has friends who genuinely care about him but he let his celebrity status affect him and he became ungrateful.

"I am very sorry for those I have been toxic to because I have come to realise that I have been so toxic to friends who really cared about me, but I have never known they had good intentions. I thought they were trying to use me for the fame that I was gaining. They were there to hold me, but I didn't see it."

This comes after he was released from jail. The content creator spent 3 days and four nights in jail after he was arrested for defaming Azziad Nasenya.

According to Azziad's lawyer, the team took legal action after Chira insulted Azziad on Tik Tok live and also shared her contacts on social media.

On Monday, July 31, he was presented in court where he denied defamation chatges. He was released on a cash bail of Sh50,000.

Chira was also given a two week suspension from Kabarak university for going against the school rules. He revealed that after going back to school, he will still create content but will be careful to follow the school guidelines.

Azziad's lawyer stated that if Chira sincerely apologizes to Azziad, then she is at liberty of accepting the apology.

Chira stated that he is ready to sit down with Azziad and ask for forgiveness over his conduct and damages if is she is willing to.

He also wishes that the apology be conducted privately off the media.
