In July during a question and answer session with fans on Instagram, a fan asked Fathermoh what happened to Mbuzi Gang as it has been a while since the group released new music.

In response, Fathermoh said he was no longer part of the group.

Mbuzi Gang comprises of musicians Joefes, Ipholish and Fathermoh signed under black marker records.

The group began years ago when Joefes met iPhoolish at a high school 'funkie' and they immediately sparked a friendship that would see them afterward enroll at the same university. In 2018, Joefes released his first song.

In the process of reaching out to different artistes trying to find a fortune, Fathermoh linked up with Joefes in 2019 and joined Mbuzi Gang.

Their songs Wagithomo and ShamraShamra featuring Mejja helped put the group in the spotlight.

Fans are happy that the group is back together and are anticipating their new project.
