Kenyan gospel musician Lady Bee is counting losses after her property was demolished in the ongoing Athi River demolitions.
Lady Bee revealed her sleepless nights and the profound pain in her heart as she watched her five-year investment crumble in minutes in the last three days.
"For the past three days, I haven’t been able to sleep. I’ve been making sacrifices for a better life, and it’s heartbreaking to see five years of investment vanish in minutes. It truly feels like hitting rock bottom. But I believe that Jesus can comfort, restore, and grant us peace."
In a video posted on her Instagram account, Lady Bee shared the harrowing experience she went through and expressed her gratitude to God for her survival.
“I can’t thank God enough for salvation because Saturday ningedie (I would have died), but I am here to testify that indeed the joy of the Lord is my strength. Watching helplessly as my property goes down is the most painful thing ever. My heart is so broken. Why didn’t you give us notice then?”
Lady Bee also expressed her condolences to the affected investors and families who are currently embroiled in agony, pain, anguish and loss of property worth millions. She said that she was not given a notice and termed the demolitions insensitive and inhumane.
The Athi River demolitions have left hundreds of families homeless.
