Kenyan actress Alvina Gachugu has elicited mixed Reactions from social media users after confronting a city pastor for preaching in a Matatu.
According to a video shared by the actress on social media, she decided to address the issue because she felt Christians claim autonomy over free speech.
She addressed the passengers in the Matatu by saying she felt pastors should stop interrupting a peaceful public commute and forcing the word of God to people who just want to reach their destinations in peace.
After the confrontation, she shared the video on social media in order to get a different opinion.
Below are some comments from Nairobi Gossip's Instagram page:
Andrew Ochieng, "I actually love the pastors preaching in matatus coz some of us thats the moment we get to interact with the word of God ,and I personally do enjoy the teachings ,,I'd rather board a ma3 with a pastor than that with booming music ....Let the man spread the word of God."
Real Michael Bundi, "Autonomy is “freedom from external control or influence; independence.” Ways to achieve this:
1. Use private transport.
2. Put on earphones, really good ones with noise cancelling.
3. Play Candy Crush.
4. Alight & Take a walk (good for your body)
5. Be the bus owner
Otherwise, just sit down & relax and remember: Neno Litaendelea. 🙏🏾😊."
Okello Max, "When no one gave the validation to her question she turned on to her online people to give it to her, kama hupendi si ukanyagie tu story, when the mats boom loud music, no one asked to be in a quick club before reaching there destination, when a hawker asks you to buy there products 10 times you never asked to get their services. So get on with your life girl."
Jack mn, "Huyu amechosha watu Kwa hiyo gari kuliko hata huyo pastor 😂😂😂."
Macheru, "The pastor ataenda kutoa ushuhuda, vile mapepo attacked him kwa matatu😂😂😂."
Speranzer Victoria," God should not be limited to church only. The word of God should be preached anywhere and everywhere for people to be saved. If pastors only preached in church, How would the person who never goes to church know God? It is her who should keep her noise to herself coz I'm sure majority of the people in that bus we're not bothered by the preaching. I'm tired of this batch of "influencers" who think they are bigger than God. Go chase clout using other things."
143 Kinoti,"Pastor anajiambia leo shetani amekuja yeye mwenyewe 😂."
