Cardi B has Filed For Divorce From Offset Again After Nearly 7 Years Of Marriage

This marks the third occasion the couple has sought legal intervention regarding their relationship.

The couple entered into a private marriage in 2017 following a brief but intense romance and are parents to two children: daughter Kulture, aged 6, and son Wave, aged 2.

According to Cardi’s rep, the divorce filing “is not based on any one particular incident, it has been a long time coming and is amicable.”

Offset, a former member of Migos, also has three other children from previous relationships: Jordan, 13, and twins Kalea and Kody, both 8.

Cardi is pursuing primary custody of Kulture and Wave.

The 31-year-old artist confirmed the rumors of their breakup on December 11, during an Instagram Live session, where she expressed that she had been "single for a while" but struggled to communicate this to her fans.

The announcement followed observations from fans that Cardi B and Offset had unfollowed each other on Instagram, alongside ambiguous posts on Cardi's Instagram Story regarding personal growth and prioritizing herself.

The divorce news marks the second time Cardi has called for a divorce from Offset since they tied the knot in 2017. Cardi previously filed to legally end their marriage in September 2020.

Within a month, however, Cardi revealed that she and the “Stir Fry” rapper had sorted things out, and the case was dismissed in the early days of November 2020.
