Kenyan digital Creator Nicholas Kioko and his wife Wambo Ashley have been trending for the past couple of days over the salary they pay their nanny.
It was alleged that Wambo pays her nanny Ksh 12,000 to take care of her twin boys as well as the house.
Some fans claimed the amount was too little due to the workload involved in caring for the twin boys and managing the household.
In response, Ashley shared a screenshot of the rumor on her YouTube channel. She and her husband, Nicholas Kioko, expressed frustration with the false information being spread online.
Wambo Ashley clarified that she employs two nannies and defended the salary she pays them. She emphasized that the information circulating online is inaccurate and that she treats her employees fairly.
She emphasized that the information circulating on TikTok was inaccurate and that there was no basis for the claims being made about her household.
“That is very fake information. They don’t even know about her, they don’t know what happened. But nothing happened,” she asserted.
Both Ashley and Kioko lamented the tendency of Kenyans to spread unverified information and engage in rumor-mongering.
