Kenyan comedian and digital creator, Oliver Otieno popularly known as YY comedian has shared that he is currently on a strict diet in an attempt to lose weight.

On Instagram stories, YY shared that When it comes to losing weight, your diet makes up 80% of the effort, with exercise making up the remaining 20%.

While at it, he revealed that at the moment he is not eating Ugali, rice and Chapati. He also added that he doesn't eat meals past 6pm.

"Day 20 without Ugali, rice and dinner. We are almost flat. Next two months will be a different story. Nilisahau pia Chapati. Ondokea hiyo. Diet 80%, training 20%. Na six ikifika kama hujakula anything, rukisha the following day," he wrote.

Yy recently found himself in the spotlight after his wife, Marya, announced their split on September 6.

In an emotional interview with Dr. Ofweneke on Lessons at 30, YY opened up about their relationship.

YY emphasized the importance of having a plan and setting both short- and long-term goals in relationships.

He recognized her potential and chose to invest in her growth, even when the financial rewards weren’t immediate.

When asked why he invested so much in Marya, YY stressed that relationships shouldn’t be based on expectations.

“Do good without expecting anything in return,” he advised. For him, investing in a woman’s potential is an act of belief, not a transaction.
