The atheists society of Kenya is displeased with Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja for not closing churches and other places of worship in the fight against noise pollution.
The society claim that Sakaja closed businesses such as night clubs in residential areas and spared places of worship.
They say that the decision by the governor was discriminatory and have given him a seven day ultimatum to revoke the ban on night clubs and wines and spirits in residential areas.
The society said their argument is according to article 27 (4) of the Constitution which states:
"The state shall not discriminate directly or indirectly against any person on any ground including race, sex, pregnancy, marital status, health status, ethnic or social origin, colour, age, disability, religion, conscience, belief, culture, dress, language, or birth."
