Mike Sonko has offered to fly the three year old boy whose eyes were gouged out to China for eye implants.

In a statement on social media Sonko said he has conducted a thorough research on the best hospital that can attend to baby Sagini's emergency case.

The former governor revealed that he has identified a hospital in Shenzhen South China called Dennis Lam Eye Hospital which has been doing eye implants successfully.


Baby Sagini will first have referrals from two Kenyan hospitals before going to China.

Mike Sonko have already booked an appointment at Westlands laser eye hospital and is intending to have an eye specialist from Mbagathi hospital to do a separate review of the three year old boy.

The reports will then be sent to the hospital in china. The Implants will help baby Sagini look and move like normal eyes but will not restore vision. They will help him with navigation sensors to allow him get around on his own in familiar places.

The boy who was said to be playing with other children outside his grandmother’s house in Kisii was reportedly snatched by the assailant at 6pmon December 14th.

He was found a day later at his family's banana plantation with his eyes gouged out.

The main suspect Maina Onchoki, baby Sagini's cousin has already been arrested. It is believed that he used the eyes for some ritual.
