The CEO of Bold Network Africa, Makena Njeri has mourned the late fashion designer Edwin Chiloba in an emotional post.

Sharing on Instagram, Makena remembered Edwin Chiloba as light and love.

" I will forever remember the moments we shared and the conversations we had. You had so much love to share with the world Edwin. I am in pain I am numb."

Makena, who advocates for the rights of LGBT community said Edwin's death was associated with hate crime and homophobia.

"This is a hate crime, it has homophobia written all over it and it Dickens me that this is how we start this year. Another tragic loss for the queer community in Kenya a country we should call home."

Makena called unto the government to set up laws to protect the queer community from all hate and crime.

" How many people do we have to bury for this nation to stop and listen to queer people. Edwin you fought so hard, loud and boldly for people we lost. We will fight for you."

In the post Makena remembered Erica and Sheila who also lost their lives in an almost similar manner.

Edwin Chiloba was a fashion designer and a model. His body was found stashed in a metallic box in Eldoret. Police in Uasin Gishu are conducting investigations into the death.
