Embakasi member of Parliament Babu Owino has finished the renovation of Utawala Academy, a public school in Embakasi constituency.
The member of Parliament fixed modern tiles, new ceiling boards, paintwork, new glass windows and roofing.
The work was done in 31 classrooms in the school making it brand new.
Babu Owino said he is looking forward to making a difference and the renovation is just one of the many projects he has planned.
"Renovation of Utawala Academy,a public primary school in Embakasi East Republic is done and dusted.We fixed Modern Tiles,New Ceiling boards,Roofing,Painting and New window glasses fixed in all the 31 Rooms. Babu Owino is always known for his passion for education. Since the pandemic, he has been teaching online classes to students mostly mathematics and chemistry.
In the recently released 2022 KCPE results, parents whose children attended the online classes said they noticed incredible results adding that the MP greatly contributed to their success.
Over the years, he has paid school fees for top students from poor backgrounds.
He is also remembered for his selfless role of championing student interests while a student leader at the University of Nairobi.
