Kenyan musician King Kaka has opened up on losing their unborn child in 2014.

King Kaka and his wife Nana Owiti went through a tough time that took away their peace and coming to terms with the loss was the hardest thing the parents went through.

In his new song 'Atanishindia' featuring Watendawili, Kaka says the loss brought with it a lot of tears.

" Hakukuwa na movement na pulse imecolours. Plus dokte had a different view. Tears zikawa mobs na breaths zikawa few. Mi na Nana just lost a kid. Few months in tukakosa peace. Nishaigive up on you? are you giving up on me?. Baraka kwa wengine ukaniacha lonely. I was told utakam tu."

In 2019, Nana Owiti revealed that she unknowingly walked with a dead foetus for weeks after suffering a miscarriage in 2014.

Owiti disclosed that she “died a little” that April 1st during a routine hospital check-up when the sonographer said that the baby had no heartbeat.

"There was no taking back their words. I died a little. King was confused and I some more. I walked out first and sat by the hallway of the hospital. Then King followed then we went back to the Sonographer and he asks.’Hakuna kitu mnaeza do yani?"

The mother of two said miscarriage was devastating. In three months time, God remembered them and she became pregnant with her daughter Gweth and three years later her son Prince Iroma.
