The Kenyan music industry is mourning the death of popular gengetone producer and artist Byron Lertrupers also know as 'Aaii Papii.'
Byron is well known for producing major gengetone hits songs such as Sipangwingwi, Usherati, Pesa Ndogo, kwa bar, peng wa mafilter, among others.
He has worked with top Kenyan artists such as Mejja, Ssaru, X-ray, Trio Mio and others.
Other than music production, Byron Lertrupers was also a talented singer-songwriter.
His style of music was Dancehall, Afro-Pop and Afro-Fusion. His mission was to create a space for Kenyan Music in the global market.
The cause of death has not been established yet. Kenyans on social media and Kenyan artists including Boondocks gang have shared their messages of condolences.
