Speaking to the media, the devastated mother said she arrived at Umash funeral home for the burial arrangements but unfortunately the body was not there.

She shared that she has never seen her daughter's body since the day she died and none of Shan's siblings has seen her body either.

The mother revealed that there has been some issues in the family since her husband died and they have been trying to sort them out.

Earlier in the day though, some relatives went to the funeral home and stole her daughter's body even before she got a chance to see her.

The mourning mother said she is saddened by the events and all she wants is the body returned to the mortuary so that she can give her daughter a decent send off.

" I called Umash at around 3.30 and the lady incharge told me I had no rights to take the body without papers, I have never seen my daughter's body since the day she died. I wasn't given time to mourn and there are family issues we were supposed to sort out. I need my baby's body back at the morgue so that I can arrange her burial as her mother. The so called relatives stole my daughter's body. We have not been in good terms since my husband died," shared Shan's mother.

Shan Wanita was a Kenyan Tiktoker, content creator, model and influencer. She tragically passed away at a young age after being involved in a car accident along Mombasa road on September 17, 2023.

Shan was traveling with three others when the accident occurred. Her friend and his daughter are among the other two who  lost their lives in the grisly accident.

Several Kenyans have mourned the beautiful, vibrant model. These include Sonko's daughter Sandra Mbuvi and Dennis Itumbi.

Condolences to the family and may her soul rest in peace
