Lucy Boke, a first year student at Kisii polytechnic lost her life after her boyfriend stabbed her to death over cheating allegations.
Lucy Boke is said to have been killed by her lover on Thursday at Jogoo estate on the outskirts of Kisii town.
Close sources say Lucy, 23 was a mother to a nine months old baby and had just rented a house near Green Valley Primary three months ago.
Eyewitnesses said the suspect arrived from Kuria, Migori County at around 6pm after he allegedly got a tip-off that his girlfriend was cheating. He is said to have fatally stabbed her, killing her on the spot. The suspect then locked himself in the house.
Shortly after, Boke’s colleagues are said to have forced their way into the house where they attacked the suspect leaving him with serious injuries.
Lucy's body was found lying on her bed with a pool of blood at her house in Kisii by the visiting students who then notified the public.
The deceased had knife wounds on the chest and the lower abdomen, according to witnesses.
The young man has since been arrested by police and Investigations into the matter are underway.
The body of the deceased is lying at Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital Morgue.
