Outspoken rapper Julius Owino, alias Juliani has recorded a statement at Kileleshwa Police Station over threats to his life over his alleged relationship with Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua's exwife, Lilian Nganga.

Through his Twitter page, activist Boniface Mwangi who appears to be Juliani's close friend disclosed that the rapper received a text message warning him from posting more photos with Nganga on social media.

Mwangi added that Juliani was warned to stop publicising their relatioship failure to which he will be killed.

"My very good friend Juliani was threatened yesterday. Someone called him and texted using 0773912088. He told him to stop posting pics posed with his friend Lilian Nganga, and if he continues, they will kill him. He has recorded a statement at Kileleshwa Police Station,” wrote the activist.

Prior to Mwangi's post, Juliani had put up a post complaining of threats to his life for the better part of Wednesday, September 1, further dismissing claims that he snatched Nganga from Governor Mutua.

"How now can you "iba mtu"? An intelligent adult with a sound mind. The call/text threat on my life today, not funny! "Ulinyang'anyana" narrative is false, tired, juicy headlines tu. Kindly stop! For the threats, usi aim face, na prefer niki smile kwa open casket," wrote Juliani.

The new development came barely a day after Juliani hinted at a romantic relationship with Nganga.

"Asante sana for all who’ve reached out the past couple of weeks. Mola awazidishie. No need for a statement about the obvious issue. I know you can think for yourselves. Draw your own conclusions. I believe in you,” wrote Juliani.
