Singer Joseph Irungu, alias Jowie has revealed her relationship status.

Speaking recently, the singer said Kenyans are not serious when it comes to dating and relationships noting that it really depends.

"I don't think there is anyone in Kenya who is serious in that sector. It depends who you attract, you will be stressed in whatever relationship or situation ship you will be in," said Jowie.

Jowie also confirmed that he is currently single, however, noting that he has specific people that he is looking up to.

"I am not ready for a relationship right now, but there are so many people I look up to. Despite whatever happens, they do not give up, there is something beautiful in love

"It is hard, if you don't know what a relationship is or what you are getting into, please don't," Jowie advised.

This came months after Jowie called it quits with her girlfriend, Eleanor Musangi.

Ella revealed the relationship ended way back in December 2020, during an online chat with blogger Edgar Obare.

The mother of one said the relationship ended both professionally and personally, and Jowie had changed a lot.

She said their marriage was a huge lie and was supposed to protect him and also help him to live in Nairobi as his permanent place of residence.

This helped Jowie avoid being sent to live with his patents in Nakuru, which was his only option, and so she was someone that the courts knew he lived with.

"For legal reasons, I stated that so he could be allowed to live in Nairobi as investigators pursuing his case have to be aware of where or who he is with. I truly helped Jowie with a clean heart, out of the compassion for the broken state I found him in," she said.
