A university student who hit the streets with a placard appealing for the public to connect him with journalist Jeff Koinange finally met the media personality.
Kevin Yator got the rare chance to appear on Koinange’s radio show days after he went viral.
He is not only a journalism student but also a budding artist.
Yator said he was desperately seeking Koinange’s support because he regards the celebrated journalist as his mentor.
He also divulged that his parents lost their respective jobs and cannot take care of his educational needs.
Yator disclosed that his main plea is to see the veteran journalist sponsor him to clear his outstanding university fee and release his new music video.
After attracting the public attention, the young man got the chance to meet with his mentor.
Koinange invited Yator to his Morning radio show at Hot 96 FM as his guest.
Taking to Twitter, Hot 96 announced that they were hosting the young man to enable him to have his wish granted.
"Today we speak to a student who posted a sign asking Kenyans to help him meet Jeff Koinange and now his dream has come true,” read the update.
