Tenants of Crestwood apartment in Regen near Kinoo, kiambu county spent the night in the cold and in fear after a fivestorey building that was under construction collapsed and leaned on their apartment.
The building caved in at around midnight and balconies of Crestwood apartments on the adjacent sides were destroyed.
Some tenants also narrated that some debris entered the bedrooms and luckily no one was injured.
Tenants resulted to moving their belongings and cars from the building in the middle of the night as they were scared and unaware of what would happen next.
No construction worker was trapped inside the collapsed building and all residents of the neighboring apartments are safe.
The accident occured just a few months after another building partially sank into the ground in Kinoo Kiambu county.
