Kenyan musician Esther Akoth alias Akothee has confirmed breakup with her manager and lover Nelly Oaks.
There has been speculations that their relationship was not going well in the past few weeks as the couple have not been in each others events and unfollowed each other on social media deleting the photos they had taken together.
Yesterday, Akothee officially confirmed the breakup on Instagram saying she needed time to focus on herself and her career.
“I have walked out of other relationships with different ups & downs so this last one shouldn't be a shock or a surprise. It's just a personal decision, I need time to concentrate on my new Found happiness with less destruction, I need to work on myself and my career, I am not ready for any commitment, questions or answers to what transpired just didn't want to hurt anyone but sorry it is what it is."
The announcement comes a month after she hinted on a breakup in April.
