As the attempt to curb illegal trading and use of drugs continues, Police have arrested a man in Huruma slums for planting marijuana behind his house.

The man had covered the plants with a mosquito net but the trick failed when the members of the public informed the police.

Detectives who arrived at the scene uprooted the plants and proceeded with an arrest.

Cases of marijuana abuse have been on the rise with many users hoping for legalization of the product if the Roots party presidential aspirant George Wajackoyah is voted in as the fifth president of Kenya in August.
