The Kenya wildlife services have shared the news on the death of Dida, one of the largest female elephants with very long tusks.

Dida died at Tsavo East National park from natural causes due to old age having lived a full life of 60 to 65 years.

She was an iconic matriarch of Tsavo and was  a major tourist attraction at the park.

Dida was a “great repository of many decades worth of knowledge”, and had shepherded “her herd through many seasons and challenging times according to a tweet shared by KWS.
