Police in Murang'a have arrested a 20 year old in connection to the brutal murder of 83 year old Pauline Wanjiku which took place in her house on 24th October.

The body of Pauline Wanjiku was found inside her house in Nguruwei-ni village late last month. Her hands were tied behind her back, and a headscarf was hanging loosely on her neck. Blood was oozing from her mouth.

A 32-inch television, electric jiko, and a mobile phone were stolen from the deceased during the violent encounter. 

Forensic analysis led detectives to the prime suspect in Waithaka, Nairobi County, where they discovered the granny's stolen electric cooker.

The television set was recovered from a second suspect identified as Wilkister Awuor, who admitted to have bought it from the suspect at Sh5,000. Similarly, the deceased’s phone was also recovered from a third suspect identified as Mercy Kadenge, who bought it from the suspect at Sh600

So far, four suspects have been rounded up in connection with the senseless murder and are being held at Kandara police station.
