Legendary Newscaster Catherine Kasavuli is appealing for blood donation after her hospitalisation at Kenyatta National Hospital private wing following a diagnosis with cervical cancer.
Other journalists including James Gachuri are urging members of the public to donate any blood type at the facility to help in her recovery.

Kasavuli was the first female news anchor in the country and has previously worked in other leading television stations including The Kenyan Broadcasting Corporation (KBC), Citizen Television and KTN.
