Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja has shared a painful encounter where his friend was stabbed to death in Nairobi two weeks ago.

The governor shared the devastating news with the congregation at AIPCA Dandora Church today.

"I lost my friend two weeks ago after he was stabbed to death."

Armed criminals have been attacking people in the city and most have been severely or fatally injuring the victims after robbing them.

Governor Sakaja however promised to work closely with the government and the security agencies to end crime.

“We are ready to support organized youth with many opportunities of business but crime is a big no. This is where we part ways. Mugging and stabbing people must stop."

A week ago, a doctor at Kenyatta National hospital had shared on the high number of victims they are receiving after attacks by criminal gangs. She had asked members of the public to be more careful.
