The Kenyan Embassy in Bangkok has noted that despite giving warnings, Kenyans are still applying for fake customer care jobs in Myanmar Thailand.

"Many of the agents, wanted by the police are still advertising sales and customer care jobs purported to be in Thailand with impunity, well aware that there are no such jobs,”

The embassy added that since the advertised jobs are fake, the job seekers are then forced into illegal activities,  illegal organ harvesting and forced labour.

“The Kenyans and many other Africans working in the forced labour camps run the great risk of losing their body organs and lives. Already one young Kenyan has died as a result of a botched operation by quack doctors operating in the Chinese-run factories in Myanmar.”

Most of the job seekers are from poor families who sell their property and sources of livelihood to afford the agency fee required to travel abroad .
