Gogo Priscilla Sitienei, the Nandi elderly woman who made history by going back to school to chase her dreams has died at 99 years.

The class seven pupil at Vision Preparatory school Ndalat, Nandi county, went back to school when she was 89 years. She was an inspiration to the girl child as she encouraged them to chase their dreams and become who they want in life.

Gogo Priscilla died peacefully at her home on Wednesday shortly after her treatment at Turbo hospital uasin Gishu county.

She will always be remembered as a heroine, an extraordinary person whose thirst for knowledge has inspired generations.

In 2021 she featured in a French educational film 'Gogo Priscilla ' as the main character, which lead to a meeting with France’s First Lady, Brigette Macron.

Her interaction with her young classmates was incredible and she shared with them the need for being in school.

Her family has added that she had developed old age symptoms towards the end.
