Charles Mugane, The lawyer of popular Kikuyu musician DJ Fatxo has revealed that his client is available and ready to cooperate with detectives in investigation concerning the death of 23 year old Geoffrey Mwathi (Jeff).

Speaking on an interview with Inooro TV, The lawyer said that since February 22, DJ Fatxo has appeared before investigation officers every time he has been summoned.

"My client is cooperating with the ongoing investigations, all the times that he has been summoned to appear since the death of Geoffrey, he has been available."

He added that the situation has been hard for DJ Fatxo and his friends and sent condolences to Jeff's family.

Jeff Mwathi died on February 22 after he allegedly Jumped From the 10th floor of DJ Fatxo's apartment.

According to a report by Inooro TV, Jeff Mwathi was contacted by DJ Fatxo for some interior decoration work in his shop.


Jeff and DJ Fatxo spent the entire day together and later they went drinking in four different clubs

CCTV footage from the Redwood apartments shows Mwathi with DJ Fatxo and three unidentified women returning to the DJ's apartment around 3 am. 

Eventually, Fatxo was spotted leaving his flat with the women, leaving Mwathi with two other males. 

CCTV footage showed that around 4 am, two men left the house and went down to the parking, and looked over. Fatxo’s cousin was also seen making a call and then 7 minutes later, Jeff fell from the window.

According to statements filed by Fatxo and the two men present at his house during the incident, the late Mwathi jumped to his death.

They claim to have discovered Mwathi's death after the DJ returned home around 9 a.m., informing them of the situation outside the apartment. 

His friends and family insist the young man was in good spirits and never suicidal.

Investigations into the matter are ongoing.
