Tanzanian singer Mbosso is leaving Diamond Platnumz’s WCB Wasafi label after eight years.
Baba Levo, a close friend of Diamond, announced on Instagram that Mbosso is free to go without any financial demands.
He shared that this is as a result of the respect Mbosso has for Diamond Platnumz.
"Out of the great respect that Mbosso has for Diamond Platnumz and leaders of Wasafi records, Diamond has opened the doors for Mbosso to go out and explore as an independent artist," he said.
He also mentioned that Diamond plans to sign nine new artists to his label in 2025.

Last year, Mbosso downplayed allegations of leaving Wasafi in the near future.
Mbosso affirmed his stay at Wasafi till the end of time.
However, should the opportunity to leave Wasafi arise, he disclosed his wish not to go the “dirty way” like Harmonize and Rich Mavoko who have had longstanding squabbles with Diamond since their departures.
“Nikitakiwa niondoke Wasafi basi nafikiria wakina Diamond wataniambia ‘sasa hivi sasa unatakiwa uondoke hapa yaani ushakuwa, ushakuwa babu," he said.
