Rapper Tory Lanez, who is serving a 10-year sentence for shooting Megan Thee Stallion, was hospitalized after being stabbed in prison in California.
Prison staff dashed to the scene and began administering first aid to Tory after calling 911. Tory was then rushed to a hospital off prison grounds to receive more treatment.
A message shared on the rapper's Instagram page claimed that he was stabbed 14 times resulting in both lungs collapsing.
"Tory was stabbed 14 times – including 7 wounds to his back, 4 to his torso, 2 to the back of his head, and 1 to the left side of his face. Both of his lungs collapsed, and he was placed on a breathing apparatus,” but “he is now breathing on his own,” read the message.
In December 2022, Tory was convicted of three felonies: assault with a semiautomatic firearm; having a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle and discharging a firearm with gross negligence.
Megan Thee Stallion testified during the trial that in July 2020, after they left a party at Kylie Jenner’s Hollywood Hills home, Tory fired the gun at the back of her feet and shouted for her to dance as she walked away from an SUV in which they had been riding.
Megan recently alleged that Tory was harassing her from prison through surrogates, and in January a judge issued a protective order through 2030 ordering him to stop any such harassment or any other contact.
