Tanzanian Singer Enock Jonas Demands Ksh 26Million from Zuchu, Claims She Sampled His Lyrics in Her New Song Kwi kwi

Tanzanian Singer Enock Jonas has demanded Tsh 500 Million (Ksh 25.6 Million) from WCB singer Zuchu claiming she sampled his song Wema Wa 'Mungu/Zunguka' in her latest song 'kwi kwi.'

Enock Jonas has argued that Zuchu used some of his lyrics to create Kwi Kwi without consent and his gospel song has now gone secular, something that has affected his reputation and his fan base.

A representative of one of the music federation in Tanzania has asked both artists to sit down and come up with a solution within the next seven days or both will have to go to court.

While some argue that Enock Jonas is unfair to ask for the huge amount of money without clear cases of infringement, others claim that he is right to do so since he understands the damages better.
