Gospel musician and Kameme FM Radio presenter Ben Kiengei popularly known as Muthee Kiengei has revealed why he did not attend the funeral of Dennis Mutara's Father.
Dennis Mutara is a veteran Kikuyu gospel musician and although Muthee Kiengei was expected to show up for the singer, when he lost his father, he was nowhere to be seen.
Kiengei had received alot of backlash from fans who felt it was wrong of him to miss the funeral yet Mutara was his friend and also a fellow gospel artist.
Speaking on Sunday at AIPCA kibia Cathedral,Kiengei said he did not show up since the singer did not also show up when he needed him.
He advised the congregants to only stand with people who are there when they are needed and forsake those who leave them in time of need.
"People have been insulting me the whole week. I want to tell you that I will never be associated with people who don't stand with me."
Dennis Mutara has been absent from the music industry for six years. In a recent interview, he had claimed that some artists were against him and sabotaged his music career. Last year he was involved in a road accident, however he is recovering and expected to make a music comeback.
