Popular Kikuyu Comedian Geoffrey Mwangi popularly known as Kianangi went missing five years ago.
His wife, Catherine Njeri,has appealed to President William Ruto, Interior Cabinet Secretary (CS) Kithure Kindiki, and Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua to order a fresh look at the file at the Ruiru Police Station in an attempt to find him.
Kianangi who is known for his comic productions in collaboration with fellow comedian Macang'i, left home in 2017. He told his wife he was going to see his mother and he never returned.
He had left with two friends who informed his wife of the disappearance. The car they had used was found abandoned with no signs of him.
Family and friends indicate that they have searched for him in police stations, hospitals, jails and mortuaries in Kiambu, Embu, Kirinyaga, Nairobi, Murang’a, Machakos and Kajiado counties to no avail.
Family and friends say he was a law abiding citizen, while a police officer claimed he was part of a criminal gangs that stole cars.
Njeri says the disappearance of her husband has caused alot of stress in the family and they want to find him alive or dead.
