Media personality and bold Network Africa Founder Makena Njeri has changed their name to Chris Muriithi.
Makena Njeri came out as gay last year and uses the pronouns They/ Them as a non-binary person.
During The Tedx talk, Makena said it was always a struggle growing up and living to their truth. They added that it was hard living up to societal expectations forced on them at a young age.
“I remember for the first time in my life after very many years looking at myself in the mirror and I said to myself, I am gay, I am unique and this is my truth,”
The new name Chris Muriithi is in their social media pages including Instagram and Twitter.
Bold Network Africa is an organization that fights for the lights of LGBT community.
