Kenyan journalist Alex Mwakideu has closed his two businesses, a restaurant and a car wash located behind Ola petrol station, Kitengela.

The car wash (Pampered Rides) and restaurant (Pampered Village) have been operational for about two years. He established the car wash in May 2020 and the restaurant was officially opened in November 2021.

Alex Mwakideu made the announcement on social media as he apologized for any inconveniences caused to his clients.

" We have closed. Pampered rides and pampered village Kitengela branch are officially closed. Whatever services you receive from the premises located behind Ola petrol station in Kitengela are  not of pampered enterprises."

During the opening of his restaurant in 2021, Alex Mwakideu cited that the tough period and salary cuts caused by COVID-19 pandemic made him open the business.

"This is Pampered Village so expect purely Swahili cuisine, our guests will enjoy the best of Swahili foods and at least Kitengela will not be known only for nyama choma. I invite everyone to come and leave us a review, our dishes are very tasty.”

After announcing the closure of the businesses in Kitengela, Alex Mwakideu has promised to reopen the two businesses in a different location.

" We will be opening another branch near you very soon. We apologize for any inconveniences caused by this closure and we look forward to serving you again soon."
